Mizel JCDS is the only Jewish Day School in Oklahoma. We serve students of all faiths in a warm, secure environment.
An integrated General and Jewish studies curriculum provides each student with a solid academic, social, and Jewish education.
In addition to daily Hebrew and Judaic classes, students receive comprehensive instruction in all aspects of language arts, science, math and social studies education.
Specialists in fine arts, computer science, music and physical education complete the students’ education.
The emphasis is providing flexibility, differentiation, and developing self-confidence for all of our students.
Small classes allow us the flexibility to offer challenging curriculum.
Our philosophy is to meet a child’s needs at all grade levels regardless of their chronological age or designated grade placement.
Students have access to the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art for Monday and Thursday morning Tefilah services in the model synagogue in addition to viewing significant art exhibits.
Unique to the Mizel Jewish Community Day School are the many opportunities for intergenerational activities such as reading to The Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Center residents and joining with them during a monthly Kabbalat Shabbat celebration.
Through their Jewish education, our students develop the solid values and ethics needed to guide them when they leave Mizel Jewish Day School and move into a larger school community.
As our grade five students graduate, parents have reported that they demonstrate confidence and academic success at the sixth grade level when they move on to attend other private and public schools.
